Looking for an extra special touch to your big event? For our Murder at the Speakeasy Promo Party we decided to do something fun and (much easier than we expected) - we added a Custom Snapchat Filter!
HOW TO
To be honest, Snapchat has a pretty in-depth article on how to create a custom filter here so we're not going to dive into all the nitty gritty. Here are the basics to make it as easy as possible:
Start with their design page and sign in to your Snapchat account
Chose a predetermined template or design your own
Chose a time and location for your party (Note: Prices will differ depending on how busy the area/time you're choosing is. We rented a speakeasy in downtown San Diego and it cost about $50 for the whole night. Smaller venues, like a house, seem to be closer to $20)
Submit your design for approval by Snapchat
According to Snapchat's website, you can submit a design up to 180 days before your event, but you need to have it submitted at least 24 hours before the event at the latest to make sure they have time to approve it.
And that's it!
A quick and easy thing that you can add to your party and create really fun keepsakes! Our guests were so impressed by this small detail and we had a lot of fun with it.
